Compulsory schooling, vocational school and self-employment
In short: Compulsory schooling continues despite your own business. Vocational school classes, tests and exams take priority over self-employment.
In more detail: A business does not exempt you from school attendance and is no excuse for absences. Anyone who handles orders during class time risks absences, fines and trouble with the training company. The family court watches exactly this point when approving.
In detail
- Scheduling: place deliveries, appointments and customer calls outside school and working hours.
- Exam time: pause orders before exams or inform customers early.
- Vocational school: for apprentices school time counts as working time, the business is leisure time.
- Health: plan breaks and sleep. Youth protection law does not apply to self-employed people, but overload endangers training.
- Talking to teachers: for big projects some schools like to know the plans.
