Extracting and creating ZIP files

In short: A ZIP file bundles several files and makes them smaller. Right-click → “Extract all” unpacks it, right-click → “Send to → Compressed (zipped) folder” creates one.

In more detail: ZIP is an archive format. It suits sending many files in one attachment. Be careful before opening unknown ZIPs: they may contain malware.
