HTTP 204 No Content
In short: The request succeeded, but there is nothing to return.
In more detail: The response has no body. The browser stays on the current page. Common after DELETE or PUT when the client does not need new data.

- Entry deleted, setting saved.
- Tracking calls (beacons) that only need to be reported.
What you can do
- Nothing, the action worked.
- Developers: do not send a body with 204, otherwise clients behave differently.
