MVC
In short: MVC (model-view-controller) is an architectural pattern that separates data, presentation and control.
In more detail: It originated in the 1970s with Smalltalk and is still common in web frameworks today.

Roles
- Model: data and business logic.
- View: display for the user.
- Controller: accepts input, calls the model and chooses the view.
