In short: T&Cs (general terms and conditions) are pre-formulated contract terms that a company uses for many contracts.
In more detail: In online retail they govern payment, delivery, warranty and liability. They must be accessible before the contract is concluded.

Rules
- They must be understandable; surprising or disadvantageous clauses are void (§§ 305 ff. BGB).
- Consumer rights (for example withdrawal) must not be excluded.
- Together with the imprint and privacy policy a mandatory part of professional websites.
